Our pet care services
Kennels are fine for some dogs. But a lot of pets do better at home, in their own space, on their regular schedule. That is the whole idea behind Social Paw: we bring the care to your house so your pet barely notices you left (except they definitely notice).
We lead with vacation drop-in visits because that is when the stakes are highest. Dog walks, cat visits, and late-night check-ins round it out. We come to your home for visits, we do not sleep over.
Feed, walk, scoop, play, repeat.
Drop-in visits are the heart of what we do. While you travel, we come over two or three times a day (you pick the schedule) to handle everything your pet needs: fresh food, fresh water, a walk or outdoor time, litter if there is a cat in the picture, and real one-on-one playtime. Your pet stays home, on their own routine, and you get the photos.
The key word there is real. We are not rushing in, filling a bowl, and leaving. Each visit is a genuine hang. Spread-out suburbs like Williamson County are exactly where this shines, because your pet gets steady, attentive check-ins without ever leaving home.
- Usually 2 to 3 visits per day, timed to your pet's needs
- Feeding, watering, and fresh litter every visit
- Walk or outdoor time for dogs, real playtime for everyone
- Photo and message updates after each visit
- Backup coverage always in place, so a booking is never dropped

Nighttime peace of mind, without a sleepover.
We come to your home for visits, we do not stay the night. But that does not mean your pet is on their own until morning. A late-night check-in is a visit late in the evening to feed, walk, and settle your pet for the night, with an optional early-morning visit so they are not waiting long for breakfast. It is the closest thing to overnight coverage, minus a stranger sleeping in your house.
This is a great fit for dogs who get anxious in the evening, pets on a strict feeding or medication schedule, or anyone who just rests easier knowing someone stopped by at bedtime. Pair it with daytime drop-ins for full coverage around the clock.
- Late-evening visit to feed, walk, and settle in for the night
- Optional early-morning visit to start the day
- Photo and text update so you can go to sleep too
- A visit, not an overnight stay
- Pairs perfectly with daytime drop-in visits
Starting at $35 per visit. Get a custom quote.
The wiggles need somewhere to go.
A midday walk is not a quick trip to the end of the driveway and back. It is a proper walk: sniffing, trotting, checking the neighborhood dispatch, burning off the energy that would otherwise go into your couch cushions. We keep the same sitter on your regular route so your dog gets used to them fast.
Recurring weekday walks are the bread and butter here, though we can discuss what schedule works for your situation. These slots fill up, so if you are in a busy area it is worth booking a bit ahead.
- 30-minute walks (longer options available, ask us)
- Consistent sitter for your recurring schedule
- Post-walk photo update so you know everything went smoothly
- Great for puppies, high-energy breeds, or dogs who just need a break in the day
Starting at $25 per walk. Get a custom quote.
Your cat tolerates us. (That is high praise.)
Cats do not do well in boarding. They do fine at home, on their own territory, with someone coming in to handle the basics and spend a little time with them. That is exactly what our cat visits look like: clean litter, fresh food, fresh water, and however much play or lap time your cat is willing to accept.
Some cats want attention the whole visit. Some cats will glare from across the room and consider it sufficient. Either way, we are there, we are paying attention, and we will send you a photo proving your cat is alive and extremely unimpressed with us.
- Litter scooped every visit
- Fresh food and water
- Playtime and companionship (cat's call on how much)
- Photo update after each visit
- Can handle multiple cats, just let us know at the meet-and-greet

The little stuff that adds up
A few extras that make your house look lived-in and your trip a little less stressful. These can be tacked onto any service. Just mention them when you reach out and we will work it into your plan.
Extra playtime
For the dog who considers a 30-minute walk a warm-up. We can add extra fetch, training games, or just more yard time.
Plant watering
We will keep your plants alive while you are gone. Basic watering during each visit, no exotic orchid consultations included.
Mail and trash
We will bring in your mail, pull your trash bins to and from the street, and make sure the place does not look abandoned.
Basic pet medications
We can administer simple oral medications (pills in food, liquid on food). Just walk us through the routine at the meet-and-greet and we will handle it.
Something else on your list?
If you have a specific request that is not listed here, just ask. We are flexible and we would rather say yes than leave you scrambling.
Reach outThe stuff that actually matters when you hand over your keys
Choosing a pet sitter is a little like choosing a babysitter. The basics have to be solid before you can relax and enjoy your trip.
Insured, bonded, and background-checked
Every sitter carries insurance and a bond, and has been background-checked. The boring paperwork that makes your trip actually relaxing.
Always-covered backup
A solo sitter getting sick or stuck can leave your pet without coverage at the worst time. We keep backup sitters in place so your booking holds no matter what.
Photos and updates after every visit
You get a photo update after each visit with a note about how things went. Real photos of real playtime, not a stock image and a thumbs-up.
Free meet-and-greet first
We come over before your first booking, no charge, no commitment. Your pet gets to sniff us out and you get to ask every question you have been sitting on.
Home beats a kennel
Pets are calmer in their own space. No cages, no unfamiliar smells, no kennel cough lottery. Your pet stays on their own turf and you travel with a clear head.
Real playtime, not a quick pat
We actually play with your pet during visits. Not a perfunctory scratch and a bowl refill. Real engagement, because that is what your pet is waiting for all day.
Things people ask before booking
How do I get started?
Reach out by phone, text, or email, and we will get a free meet-and-greet on the calendar. That visit is where we learn your pet's routine, your home setup, and what the job looks like. After that, booking is simple.
Do you only handle dogs?
Nope. Cats are a big part of what we do, and we can discuss other pets at the meet-and-greet. Just ask.
What if my regular sitter is sick or has an emergency?
That is what backup coverage is for. We keep other qualified sitters ready so your booking is never at risk, even during holidays or summer crunch time.
How do I know what is happening while I am away?
You get a photo and a message after each visit with a quick rundown of how things went. It is not an app you have to download, just a direct update so you know everything is fine and your pet is thriving.
Do you handle pets with special needs or medications?
Basic oral medications, yes. Walk us through the routine at the meet-and-greet and we will make sure it gets handled correctly. For complex medical needs, let us talk through your specific situation.
What areas do you serve?
We cover north Austin and Williamson County, including Round Rock, Georgetown, Cedar Park, Leander, Liberty Hill, and Jarrell. See the service areas page for details.
