Pet Sitting & Dog Walking in Mayfield Ranch, TX

We are not just the pet sitters who serve Mayfield Ranch. We live here. This master-planned community in the Round Rock and Georgetown area of Williamson County is where Social Paw started, and it remains the heart of everything we do.

Mayfield Ranch is a family-oriented neighborhood with single-family homes, community parks, a pool and amenity center, and a whole lot of young families who got a dog during the pandemic and now need reliable help. We get it because we are exactly those people.

Cat sitting

Cats do not want to board. They want to stay home, have someone clean the litter, refill the food, and maybe sit on the couch for a few minutes if the cat allows it. That is exactly what we do. We also do a home wellness check each visit.

Starting at $24 per visit

Why neighbors choose in-home care

Your pet is already home. We just join them.

Kennels and doggy daycares have their place, but they are not right for every pet or every trip. Here is why so many Mayfield Ranch families go the in-home route.

Less stress, better behavior

Pets in familiar environments are calmer. They eat better, sleep better, and come back to you in the same shape they left. No decompression week needed after the trip.

No kennel cough roulette

Group boarding environments, even good ones, carry an inherent disease risk. In-home care keeps your pet away from other animals entirely. A nice bonus when you have a dog with a compromised immune system or a nervous stomach.

A bonus home security check

Someone coming and going from your house while you travel keeps things looking lived-in. We also notice things like a dripping faucet or a package sitting on the porch, and we will let you know.

What visits actually look like

We know it can feel abstract. Here is a realistic picture of what a typical day of care looks like for a dog in an overnight situation, from your sitter's perspective.

Morning

Wake up with your dog. Morning walk around the neighborhood, food and fresh water, a quick check for anything unusual. Photo sent to you before 9 a.m. so you start your day knowing things are fine.

Midday

Another short walk or outdoor play session, depending on your dog's energy level. Fresh water check, any afternoon medications if applicable. A second update so you are not left wondering all day.

Evening

Dinner, a longer walk or yard time, and wind-down. Your sitter is home with your dog for the night, so no long alone stretches. Final photo or text so you can go to sleep knowing things are good.

Drop-in schedules look similar but are spread across two or three visits per day instead of a continuous stay. We customize the plan based on your pet's needs.

How it starts

The meet-and-greet

Before any booking, we come to your home for a free, no-pressure meet-and-greet. It is the most important 30 minutes in the whole process.

Your pet gets to meet us on their turf. You get to walk us through the routine, show us where everything is, and ask all the questions you have been holding. We get a feel for your pet's personality and any specific needs.

  • Free, no commitment required
  • Happens at your home, on your schedule
  • Cover feeding, walking, medications, routines
  • We answer every question you have
  • Your pet sets the pace (some need more warm-up time and that is fine)

FAQ

Questions from Mayfield Ranch neighbors

Do you actually live in Mayfield Ranch?

Yes. Social Paw is based right here in the community. That means faster response times, shorter travel distances between visits, and a sitter who knows the neighborhood layout and the walking routes. When you text us about a last-minute visit, we are probably three streets away.

How does the meet-and-greet work?

We come to your home before your first booking so your pet can meet us in their own space. We go over your pet's routine, feeding schedule, and any quirks we should know about. It takes about 30 minutes, it is free, and there is no obligation to book.

What happens if you get sick or have an emergency during my booking?

We keep backup coverage, which is a big deal for a local pet care service. If something comes up, we have a plan, and your pets will not be left without care. This is one of the main reasons to book with a service rather than a solo sitter found through an app.

Do you handle multiple pets or specific needs like medications?

Yes to both. Multi-pet households are common in Mayfield Ranch, and we are comfortable managing them. We can also administer basic oral medications with proper instructions from your vet. Just let us know at the meet-and-greet what your pets need.

What is the difference between an overnight stay and drop-in visits for a vacation?

An overnight stay means your sitter sleeps at your home, which is ideal for dogs with separation anxiety, puppies, or any pet that does not do well alone for long stretches. Drop-in visits (usually two or three per day) work well for independent dogs, cats, and shorter trips. We are happy to talk through which is the better fit for your specific pet.
